Hello, thank you for taking the time to view my website. I am Mickarl D. Thomas, Sr. an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church and have been pastoring for over 50 years. I have served churches in the 6th, 1st, and 4th Episcopal Districts of the denomination, which includes the following cities; Columbus, Ga., Norristown, Pa., Boston, Ma., Philadelphia, Pa.,, Chicago, IL, Flint, Mi., and currently serving in Detroit, Mi. Theses charges have afforded me to have a myriad of experiences as well as a multiplicity of challenges. The book A Prophet’s Journey Through Midnight reflects on many of the experiences and how I attempted to cope with the greatest challenge of my life and that was the death of my son, Mickarl D. Thomas, Jr. (Mikey) at seventeen from a tragic automobile accident.
I am grateful for the academic preparation I was blessed to optain; however I am more grateful for the abiding presence of God and my faith which sustained me during the time of Mikey’s death and other serious challenges.
